Qin received the prestigious Yuxiang Early Career Award in recocgnition for her research and achievements. The award aims to recognize outstanding Chinese and Chinese-American young scholars in oceanic, atmospheric sciences and related fields while also providing financial supprt and career opportunities for the awardees.

T. V. "Babu" RajanBabu, Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has been recognized as a 2020 Arthur Cope Scholar for "research that has contributed important concepts to several areas of homogeneous catalysis, ranging from carbon feedstock conversion to polymer chemistry and enantioselective catalysis."

Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska, civil, environmental and geodetic engineering

The Distinguished University Professor is the highest faculty honor at The Ohio State University. Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska, the Lowber B. Strange Designated Professor in civil, environmental and geodetic engineering, received the award because her research has made a significant impact on advancing research in the application of Global Positioning Systems and Global Navigation Satellite Systems.

Bharat Bhushan, mechanical and aerospace engineering
Bharat Bhushan received an Honorary Doctorate from the prestigious University of Tyumen, Russia. He received this recognition for his outstanding contributions to fundamental studies in the interdisciplinary areas of bio/nanotribology/nanomechanics, nanomaterials characterization and bio/nanotechnology with a focus on scanning probe techniques, biomimetics/bioinspiration, and science policy.

As the newly appointed fellow, Hood will be in-residence at the CEC for a minimum of 10-hours per week for the full semester. Once per week, he will hold open hours during which community members can drop in and learn more about his extensive environmental and social-justice research portfolio in neighborhoods comprising the Southern Gateway of Columbus.

The Stanford R. Ovshinsky Fellowship consists of $15,000, given to the awardee's institution by the American Physical Society for the purpose of the recipient's energy sustainability research. Doan-Nguyen is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Materials Science and Engineering and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She joined Ohio State in August 2017 as part of the Discovery Themes’ Materials and Manufacturing for Sustainability Initiative. As part of Ohio State’s Center for Electron Microscopy and Analysis (CEMAS), her cross-cutting research includes synthesis development, in-situ structural characterization, and functional testing of smart, nanostructured materials as well as advanced materials for energy storage and conversion.
