The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has earned Tree Campus Healthcare recognition, awarded to only 16 U.S. hospitals.

Tree Campus Healthcare is an Arbor Day Foundation program inaugurated in 2019 that recognizes health institutions for making a mission-aligned impact on community wellness through tree planting, education and community engagement.

The medical center was recognized for meeting program standards:  the formation of an advisory committee, the development of a tree care plan, participation in a community forestry project, sponsorship of a celebration event or education campaign and a commitment to financial investment in tree projects, education events and/or community outreach.

This honor aligns with Ohio State’s sustainability goals and the university commitment to tree canopy.
