January 6, 2022

The Sustainability Institute at Ohio State is pleased to announce a request for proposals for the FY2022 Sustainability Research Seed Grant Program to build capacity in sustainability and resilience research at the university. The program supports new interdisciplinary research teams that lay a foundation for convergence research.

This funding mechanism will support teams of scholars from two or more distinct disciplines and relating to one or more of the Sustainability Institute research program areas. Proposals that span SI research program areas are also encouraged. Preference will be given to proposals that include early-career faculty, are diverse (e.g., participants with varied backgrounds or viewpoints, and/or from communities that are historically underrepresented in the research area) and have potential for external funding. The Sustainability Institute anticipates awarding four seed grants with an average award size of $25,000.

The deadline for proposals is February 28, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
