Sustainability Living Labs

Sustainability Living Labs provide opportunities to research new solutions or develop learning opportunities in real-world settings, whether on Ohio State's campuses or in collaboration with communities. These projects help translate what is studied in the classroom or discovered in a research setting into physical places to further test and expand knowledge in pursuit of problem solving at an increased scale.

Working with Ohio State's faculty, staff and students, the Sustainability Institute is developing resources to help increase the positive impact living lab projects can have on campus and with partners. This includes creating pathway guides for those interested in starting a living lab project but not sure where to start, promoting exemplar projects as examples to learn from, opening routes to engage with ongoing efforts and funding opportunities to help initiate projects.
