About Emily

As SI’s Outreach & Communications Specialist, Emily co-develops and executes the Institute’s annual O&C plan, manages key constituencies’ engagement databases, serves as the main point of contact for marketing and messaging issues, and ensures SI meets the university’s digital accessibility standards. Emily’s background is varied: with a B.A. in Theatre from Ohio State and an Associate of Applied Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Columbus State Community College, Emily’s work history includes award-winning performances in theatre and film and teaching Central Ohio 4th-graders nutrition, food safety, and physical activity. Most recently, she served as the Director of Operations for a statewide nonprofit association. Emily enjoys building things, gardening, and travel. She, her husband, and their pet companions live on Columbus’ west side.
