September 23, 2020

How can communities and society recover from the COVID-19 global pandemic and evolve to a new normal that is not only more resilient to future shocks but also sustainable and just? What should the new normal be?

The new Rebuild, Renew, Reshape initiative at Ohio State will support interdisciplinary research on the sustainability, resilience and justice dimensions of the COVID-19 recovery. The initiative kicks off with a series of virtual mini workshops from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 23, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6 to help researchers brainstorm ideas and build teams.

Interdisciplinary teams that emerge from these workshops will receive help in developing, growing and sustaining their efforts. Any Ohio State researcher with PI status may participate. This is a joint initiative of the Sustainability Institute, Infectious Disease Institute and Translational Data Analytics Institute with facilitation support from the Office of Research.
