As part of the first Passport to Earth Month at Ohio State, the Sustainability Institute (SI) announced the raffle prize recipients, who will all receive an Uncommon Goods gift certificate for participating in the program:
Suzanne Edie, Senior Business Systems Analyst in Health Systems
Morgan Griffith, Graduate Chemistry student in the College of Arts and Sciences (ASC)
Lesley Reed, Environment, Economy, Development, and Sustainability student in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES)
Meredith Book, Environmental Policy & Decision Making student in CFAES
To “stamp” their passports, these award recipients attended a variety of the 50+ environmental and sustainability events, ranging from professional and academic panels to wellness activities, occuring between World Water Day, March 22 and Earth Day, April 22, on our near Ohio State's campuses. Uncommon Goods is an online marketplace for artists and designers to showcase their unique goods. They value transparency from the creator and their processes, while encouraging artists to use recycled or sustainable materials. As one of the first B corporations, Uncommon Goods aims to use environmentally friendlier packing materials, are leather, feathers, or fur-free, and partner with sustainability-minded non-profit organizations.
