Faculty Discuss Sustainability of Ohio’s Lands

University and community experts shared perspectives on sustainability in Ohio and how it applies to managing landscape in urban, forest and agricultural spaces at the "Sustainability and Ohio Lands: Creating Value for People and the Environment" conference hosted by the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences’ Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics in May.

Sustainability Institute Faculty Director Elena Irwin, agricultural, environmental and development economics, gave a keynote presentation. Additional Ohio State presenters were Ben Brown, agricultural risk management, and Sustainability Institute affiliated faculty Jeremy Brooks, environment and natural resources; Casey Hoy, agricultural ecosystem management; and Jeremy Bruskotter, environment and natural resources. Brent Sohngen, agricultural, environmental and development economics, organized the event.
