Local Government Sustainability Summer Internship Program

Back to News
February 4, 2025

The Sustainability Institute is once again sponsoring two summer sustainability internships through the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC).

Students selected to participate in the internship program will be placed directly with local government hosts within MORPC's 15-county central Ohio area to conduct sustainability projects for that local government.

The MORPC Local Government Summer Internship Program is designed to provide qualified college students with the opportunity to obtain practical work experience with a local government to prepare them for possible careers in public service.

MORPC coordinates intern orientations and placements to match the host’s request; hosts make the final hiring decision and provide an intern's hourly wage.
