Become a future leader of the energy economy
Master of Energy Sustainability
Advance your career in energy resource and technology sectors
Gain exposure to energy-related workplaces through experiential learning
What to expect
The Master of Energy Sustainability (MES) is an interdisciplinary program tailored for impactful careers across the spectrum of energy resource and technology sectors. Graduates from the program will be prepared to reshape the energy economy towards a more sustainable future. All students are welcome to participate, as systems thinking is encouraged and no single background or experience is required.
Students in the program will select courses from across multiple Ohio State colleges for a total of 34 semester credits, building a holistic understanding of energy systems, including: the sources of energy generation, methods for energy transmission and distribution, and the intricacies of demand and use.
The program culminates in an experiential learning capstone and seminar, which will help participants utilize knowledge gained through the program towards an applied project with private, NGO, or public sector energy collaborators.
